A C in Evil is my first attempt at writing an original story in an original setting of my own design.
A C in Evil tells the story of Ashley Blackburn, a Class C supervillain known as Wildcard in a world of super powered individuals. The clash of Class A’s is the stuff of legends (and movies), while the threat of world ending S Classes draws in masses of heroes for desperate last stands.
Ashley doesn’t give a damn about any of that. She is C Rank, the “probably too much for cops to handle” level. People who throw battle ships around are so far out of her league that she just doesn’t really bother to care and simply commits petty crimes, clashing with street and local type heroes over her ill gotten gains. Or at least, that’s what a C Rank is supposed to do.
Ashley is no ordinary C Rank however. She’s not out to rob banks, steal diamonds and jewels, seek revenge on those that wronged her, or other such small time or Petty crimes. No she is in supervillainy for a completely different reason. She wants to mess with Heroes for shits and giggles. She lives for the adrenaline rush she gets from “poking the robotic laser bears” and isn’t likely to stop anytime soon.
Of course, not everyone gets why she is doing what she is doing. Darn villainous A Ranks, always viewing the world through their own warped lense of reality. If Wildcard is going to get out of this alive, she is going to have to play things smart and safe…she’s doomed.
